Lose Weight

To lose weight so that you can look and feel younger, sexier, have more energy with your children or grand children and live longer is not an easy task.

First you have to make a decision to lose weight and that you are willing to pay the price required.

The price will include eating less, eating healthier, exercising more whether that be simply walking a whole lot more or a full scale exercise program. Whatever you do to lose weight will be beneficial to you. You will live longer, feel younger, have more energy for whatever you want to do.

After you have lost all of the weight you want to you will find that your whole lifestyle will have changed and you wont have even been aware that it was changing.

Part of the price is sticking to your healthy weight loss program even when you really do want that chocolate desert with cream. That is where the mind and your determination to lose weight kicks in. You will develop a stronger mind if you can stick with the plan to lose weight.

One of the best lose weight tips is to use a meal replacement. You can search Google for one of the many available online

Lose Weight in Winter

It is often said that it is easier to lose weight in the summer. This can be partly due to the warmer weather and the abundance of fruit and vegetables, but it may also be due to the fact that in the summer we can more easily have that feel good factor making us more motivated. Often our summer clothes are an incentive to lose weight also

How do you lose weight in winter when there is three foot of snow on the ground and the temperatures are in the minus 20+?

A couple of things, continue with your changed eating habits, eating less and eating more healthy and less fast food meals. You still need to burn more calories than you consume. So good eating will lower your consumption of calories. Christmas is always a difficult time to be trying to lose weight with all of the Christmas deserts etc etc.

The exercise path to losing weight needs to change over the winter months. Walking in the park is not always practical with the amount of snow that can fall. There is a need for more exercise/walking in the home. Again it is not that difficult to achieve significant calorie fires where you burn those calories off.

Most house/apartments have stairs. Walk up and down the stairs more often than you would normally. Walk up and down twice every time you have to go up or down the stairs. Stair walking is excellent for cardio vascular exercise. You are still walking so it is not too stressful on the body, you are nor trying to climb the stairs in the Empire State Building. If you can do that then go for it.

There is always the old favorite calisthenics, though today you can buy DVDs or videos of different exercises you can follow along with in front of the screen. You may have to rearrange the furniture to be able to lie down on the floor. But hey that is exercise in itself, more calories burnt.

Exercise machines can be bought and used inside during the winter. You can build a decent sweat if you walk on a treadmill for 30 minutes or jump on an exercise bike for 30 minutes as well. There are other exercise machines that you can purchase as well like the bow flex. These are just a few ideas of how to lose weight

Also when you are cooking your meals you can stand and do a few stretching exercises as you wait. Use what ever time you can find to do a few little exercises. The combined effect will be to burn more calories and lose weight.

So really no one has any excuse to say that they cannot lose weight in the winter months, it is just a matter of readjusting your mind set and finding new and innovative ways to lose weight

The Best Way To Lose Weight

Some people would argue that the best way to lose weight is the lazy way. Very often they don't want to put in the effort required to attempt a full blown dietary regime so they take the lazy way out

The lazy way to lose weight is not as good as a full scale program designed to lose weight, but it can still work provided you choose a method that uses a good quality meal replacement.

What you do is simply use the meal replacement, instead of eating a big dinner meal. This provides you with the required daily vitamins and minerals without having to cook a nutritious well balanced meal.

There are a number of benefits to using this approach to help you to lose weight. First of all you do not have to spend time shopping for special food and you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen cooking special meals. All you need to do is to add milk to the meal replacement, stir or shake and then drink. Also because you are not cooking you are not using any electricity. Imagine being able to lose weight and save money on your electricity monthly account!!

A meal replacement supplement drink is not only the lazy way to lose weight but also the best way to lose weight for some people as it has a high protein content. Protein is needed to convert fat into lean muscle giving you a more streamlined shape.

The lazy way to lose weight as the name implies, means that it is not essential for you to do exercise to lose weight. However my advice would be to add an exercise regime to your weight loss program as this is something that you will need to continue when you have reached your target weight.

Weight loss after all is only half of the equation. The other half, which may well be the most important half, is maintaining that weight loss. So don't be too tempted by the lazy way to lose weight or you may find yourself repeating the process time after time. Do it properly the first time and you may never have to do it again.
